Master's Degree in Sport Management Offers Customizable Curriculum

KU’s Master’s degree in Sport Management offers you a graduate program that supports a wide range of career opportunities for positions at various sport organizations including: intercollegiate athletics, professional sports, non-profit recreation, competitive sport programs. Depending on your Sport Management career aspirations you will develop a demonstrated understanding of content and skills that will prepare you for specific entry-level opportunities and additional advanced degrees in Sport Management and/or other related fields.

As a graduate students in the Master’s program, you can choose between two tracks within your program of study: 

  1. Non-Thesis Track (36 credit hours)
  2. Thesis Track (30 credit hours)

Regardless of which program track you choose (thesis vs. non-thesis), you are able to select tailored program coursework in consultation with your faculty advisor and enhance your learning to fit the needs of your professional interests and educational needs.  You will first discover and identify your specific career goals and then consult with your faculty advisor to select your elective courses to compliment the required curriculum for all Sport Management students:
