Youth Activities at KU

At the Department of Health, Sport, & Exercise Sciences, we strive to serve KU, the community, and the world by providing unique and purposeful physical activity and fitness opportunities for our youth. Whether you are a parent looking to keep your child busy during the summer months, or a youth coach working to develop young athletes for a lifetime of physical activity - please consider the various camps and activities that the department provides both in Lawrence and Overland Park, Kansas.

Scholarships & Rates

The David and Margaret Shirk Physical Education Programs Fund was provided to advance the discipline of physical education at KU through targeted programming and initiatives which directly engage school-age children and youth in physical activity. This funding allows families to save on the cost for their child to participate. Registration rates vary by youth activity and future rates are subject to change.
