Facility Rentals at Robinson Center

Rental Policies & Guidelines:
Select Robinson Center facilities are available on a rental basis to University of Kansas academic, departmental or student organization-sponsored events; local/state/national government-sponsored meetings or charitable/non-profit-sponsored events. 

Availability & Request Process:
Reservations are secured on a first-come, first-serve basis. To reserve space at Robinson Center, contact Bernie Kish at Bkish@ku.edu or 785-864-0703.

Cancelation Policy:  
Written notification of event cancelation must be received in advance. If notification is not received, a fee may apply. Notifications can be emailed to bkish@ku.edu

Catering: KU Catering must be used for all events serving food (exemptions can be requested through KU Catering). This includes items like cookies, punch, bottled water, and coffee, as well as boxed lunches or served meals. For more information, visit the KU Catering website.

Rates and Capacity: 
A rental contract must be completed and signed prior to reservation confirmation. Contracts must also include proof of liability insurance from the group renting the facility. Rental rates and capacity information is available on each space available for reservation: Basketball Courts; Swimming Pools, Volleyball Courts; Racquetball Courts.

Cleaning and Damage Charges:
Patrons and tournament/meet directors are expected to leave the facilities at Robinson Center in the same manner they were found. No eating or drinking of beverages other than water is permitted by spectators or participants in the gymnasium areas. Trash cans are provided and tournament/meet directors are expected to provide individuals during the course of the event to assist with the removal of trash to the dumpsters behind Robinson Center. in the event that restrooms, locker rooms, gyms, and hallways require extensive cleaning by the Robinson Center staff after an event has ended, a $500 charge will be assessed to the tournament/meet director.

Vendors: 
Tournament/meet directors and groups renting Robinson Center facilities must coordinate with Bernie Kish regarding the use of a vendor for their tournament or event (ex: photographer who charges a fee). If permitted, there will be a fee charged and payable to Robinson Center for the use of a vendor. 

Accessibility & Parking:
