Jonathan Mays, Co-President
Jonathan is a former two-sport collegiate athlete at Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin and is currently in the final year of his Sport Management doctoral program at the University of Kansas. Following a brief career in coaching, he began his Masters studies at the University of Kansas while simultaneously working for Kansas Athletics. His current role is the Coordinator of Student-Athlete Development and Leadership. Jonathan’s research interests include institutional theory, organizational culture, and the recruitment of student-athletes.

Claire Schaeperkoetter, Co-President
Claire Schaeperkoetter is in the final year of her Sport Management doctoral program at the University of Kansas. A native of Columbia, Missouri, she was a four-year letter winner in women’s basketball at Washington University in St. Louis, where she double-majored in Psychology and Spanish. While pursuing her master’s degree at the University of Kansas, Claire worked as the compliance graduate assistant in the athletics department at the University of Kansas. Claire’s research interests include examining how the intersection of organizational structures, financial goals, and environmental pressures contribute to organizational programming and decision-making.​
