HSES students in the Health & Physical Education teacher education program, and some in the Physical Education Pedagogy Master's degree program will complete a student teaching experience as a part of their initial licensure requirements.
Students in the Exercise Science program will complete a semester-long internship (600 hours = 40-hour weeks for 15 weeks). In consultation with their academic advisor, some students may choose to instead complete 15 credit hours of elective courses from an approved list.
Athletic Training students are required to complete a semesterly (post-admission) practicum experience which ranges from 20-30 hours, working with a team either on campus, or out at local high schools and institutions.
