Susan Harvey, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercises Sciences.  Dr. Harvey earned her doctoral and master’s degree in health education from the University of Kansas.  She worked previously as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Kansas Medical Center and as an assistant research professor for the University of Kansas.

Dr. Harvey specializes in conducting process and outcome evaluations and has administered several community- and school-based intervention research projects with diverse populations.  Her primary research interests are adolescent health literacy and the nutritional and physical activity aspects related to the built environment.  She currently has two ongoing grants in both of these areas.
