Beginning Your Career As A Teacher
Students who graduate with a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education Plus (formerly Health & Physical Education) from the University of Kansas will have fulfilled the requirements for the degree as well as a Kansas initial teaching license for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Graduates who have chosen to pursue a second teaching area in addition to PE, will have also completed coursework to prepare them to earn (by examination) one of the following add-on licensure endorsements:
- Health (Grades PK-12)
- Mathematics (Grades 5-8)
- Science (Grades 5-8)
- English (Grades 5-8 or 6-12)
- Speech/Theatre (Grades 6-12)
- Psychology (Grades 6-12)
- Sport Management
