Basketball Courts at Robinson Center
Robinson Center at KU is a very popular location for basketball tournaments, games, and practices of all kinds. Robinson Center offers six regulation size basketball courts, access to locker rooms (locks not included) and multiple water fountains. Standard rim heights are set at 10 feet, though 8 feet rims can be set for younger participants. Courts are available for rent year round during the week and on weekends - with the most popular season for youth basketball tournaments occurring between December and March. Courts are more readily availability between April and November, though accommodations can be made upon request.
With six regulation size basketball courts, Robinson Center can accommodate tournaments and events of many sizes. Organizations such as AGAPE Youth Basketball and MOKAN Youth Basketball have hosted many tournaments at Robinson Center. Bleachers for attendees are available on the second level overlooking the courts. Folding chairs on available on the main level for additional attendee seating.
The hourly rate is $21 per court and the daily rate is $250 per court. The daily tournament rate is $1500 and includes all 6 courts. Scoresboards, 8 tables, and up to 100 chairs are available upon request with no additional charge. Robinson Center does not provide officials nor referees for tournaments. Rates are subject to change.
NCAA regulations stipulate that youth tournaments on campus must be limited to children at (or below) the sixth grade level. Tournament directors requesting to use Robinson Center for basketball tournaments must work with Bernie Kish to receive approval from the KU Athletics Compliance Director prior to reserving the facilities.
KU faculty and staff are welcome to use the basketball courts during open recreation basketball at Robinson Center.
