Incoming Freshman

All high school juniors and seniors, as well as other individuals, will need to apply for undergraduate admission to the University of Kansas (KU) through the Office of Admission.


Transfer Students

Individuals interested in transferring coursework from another institution will need to apply for transfer admission to KU through the Office of Admission.

Graduate Students (Campus-based & Online)

Graduate students are encouraged to apply for admission through the Office of Graduate Admissions at KU.

Please note that each individual graduate program offered through the Department of Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences has a unique set of program application requirements and application deadlines. Visit your graduate program web page for additional details


Edwards Campus Students

For the undergraduate degree completion programs at the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, most transfer students should have already completed the majority of their general education requirements and prerequisites. Interested applicants are encouraged to contact a program advisor before applying as a transfer student to KU.


International Students

International students are encouraged to apply to the Department of Health, Sport and Exercise Sciences based on their level of degree/education interest.

Non-Degree Seeking Students

Individuals interested in enrolling in either undergraduate or graduate coursework without the intent to complete degree program are encouraged to apply as non-degree seeking students. For more information, please contact the academic department via email at hses@ku.edu.
