Keith Tennant

Keith Tennant worked at The University of Kansas from 2002 to 2012 and served as the HSES Department Chair from 2002-2005. He retired from The University of Florida in 1997 with Emeritus status after 30 years of teaching in the College of Health and Human Performance. Ten of those years were also spent in administration in the Exercise & Sport Science Department as Assistant/Associate Department Chair. Additionally, he was the Head Wrestling Coach at UF from 1969-1974 where he was recruited to initiate and promote the first wrestling program in 40 years. He took the team to national prominence and was inducted into the UF Athletic Hall of Fame in 1993. Keith also served as Department Chair of the Physical Education and Recreation Department at the State University of West Georgia from 1997 to 2002. In 2002, he was hired at KU to serve as the HSES Department Chair. In addition to administration, Keith also primarily taught Research and Data Analysis in Health, Sport, and Exercise Sciences; Understanding Research in HSES, Motor Learning, and served as a Doctoral Dissertation Mentor for a number of HSES Doctoral students.
