Study: Backward hopping may be better indication of recovery from ACL reconstruction

A KU study found that having patients perform a single leg backward hop can be a better indicator of recovery from ACL injuries and reconstruction in the knee. The measure helps give better data about various points of health in the leg and is easy for researchers, patients and practitioners to perform and measure.

A pair of studies examines why athletes feel authenticity is vital to their personal branding and how an athlete's personal life influences their brand, including aspects of their romantic life. The findings both better illustrate how athletes use branding to advance in their sport and the racial and gendered implications of personal life on athletes' perception by the public.
